How To Spot The Best Luxury Apparel

By Shirley Wright

Low-quality clothes might seem to be saving you a lot of money by their implications are often so much. In most cases, they pill, fade and would fall apart within just a single season. In the long run, you will find yourself spending more on the cheap clothes that you could have spent on expensive, high-quality clothing. Sometimes, it is better to shop smart and avoid cheap clothes that would not last and would only require you to replace them every time and then. To avoid such a situation, buying luxury apparel, though expensive, can save you the trouble.

Check for metal zippers. Top quality clothes are often fixed with metal zippers. Plastic zippers never last. In fact, they do not stay zipped and may leave you exposed without even noticing. This is just an indication of how much you will have to begin repairing your clothes sooner if they had plastic zippers. Metal zippers, on the other hand, stay zipped and can last years without breaking down.

If it has spare buttons, that would be a great indicator of good quality. Spare buttons are often included in clothes that are expected to last long so that the buttons can be used to replace any lost buttons in the future. The inclusion of such buttons is just the designer's way of ensuring that you will have everything you need to successfully repair your cloth when need be.

There are certain labels that are known for their high quality, and the garment that is made from those materials cost higher and are associated with luxury. For instance, fiber offers variety and can be extracted from plants and animals as wool, cotton, silk, or linen. If you love synthetics, you can choose clothes made from polyester, spandex, or rayon.

Excellent quality clothes often have strong stitches. When shopping for clothes, be keen on the quality of stitches. Cheap clothes are often weakly stitched, as opposed to top quality garments. Therefore, always be keen to inspect the stitches for signs of missed stitches, unraveling, loose stitches, crooked lines, or any signs that the designer did a shoddy job.

The good quality cloth is that which is cut appropriately and proportionately. Cheap garment brands use little fabric to create clothes just to save money. That often interferes with the overall proportionality and quality of the garment. A good quality cloth should have the right measurements and should be proportionately sewn together.

Concentrate on the quality of both the buttons and the button holes. If you are good with choosing clothes, it would be easy for you to determine a good quality button when you see it. High-quality buttons are fit on high-quality garments. Likewise, you should check the button holes to see how well they are designed.

High-quality thread is easy to identify. You just have to look closely to examine the size, material, and grip to determine its quality. When a thread that has excellent quality is used to sew the garment together, its chances of lasting for long is very high. Such garments are durable and do not wear off easily.
